How do I know if I need orthopedic Insole?

A very common doubt is to know if you need to use orthopedic Insole or not.
Therefore, today we want to address this issue so that you have a guide and can know for yourself if you need to use them.
It is important that, if you notice some of these signs that we share with you below, you go to a podiatrist for a proper diagnosis and a personalized treatment for your case.

Signs that you need to use orthopedic insoles

There are 8 main signs to look out for that will tell you that you need to use orthopedic insoles.

You suffer from foot pain or swelling

If your feet hurt or you have inflammation while performing activities such as standing or walking, or it happens after these activities, you need to see a specialist to determine your case. Insole orthotics can relieve your pain or solve your problem.

You have a pathology in your feet

If your feet hurt, you have gone to your doctor and he has diagnosed you with a pathology, most likely he has already told you that you do need orthopedic Insole to relieve the pain and prevent the pathology from worsening. Depending on the pathology you have, you will need some orthopedic Insole or others.

You have flat feet or pes cavus

If you do not have pain, but you are predisposed to suffer a pathology in the future and, therefore, that your feet hurt, orthopedic Inoles can help you.
In the case of flat feet or the pes cavusInsole orthotics can help you improve your body posture and prevent you from suffering foot pain or experiencing overpronation.

You work standing or with safety boots

If you work long hours on your feet or have to wear safety boots, you probably need to use orthopedic Inoles to prevent foot pain.
These will help improve rest, comfort and convenience in your day-to-day life, as well as alleviate the discomfort of spending all day on your feet or wearing safety footwear.

Uneven wear in your footwear

If you notice that your regular footwear is wearing unevenly, i.e., one sole is more worn than the other or one side more than the other, this is another clear sign that you need orthopedic insoles.
This wear may be due to poor footing, one of your legs being significantly shorter than the other or improper positioning of your feet.

Balance problems or falls

If you suffer from balance problems or regularly fall down, your feet are giving you the message that something is wrong. Orthopedic Inoles will help you have better stability, better footing and reduce falls.

You play sports on a regular basis

If you play sports on a regular basis, it is normal for your feet to receive impacts that can be harmful to your feet.
The sport-specific orthopedic Inoles will help you improve cushioning, stability, recovery and momentum.

You have diabetic foot complications

If you have been diagnosed with diabetic foot, orthopedic Inoles can help you better distribute the pressure your feet exert on the ground.

What happens if I don’t use orthopedic insoles?

Looking the other way and doing nothing never does any good.
And, in no case, does it solve the problem. Orthopedic Inoles help you to:

  • Pain relief
  • Discharge specific pain points
  • Improve your body posture
  • Improve your footprint
  • Prevent future problems
  • Feel more comfortable in your day-to-day life or activities.

If you need orthopedic insoles, but are reluctant to wear them, you may suffer:

  • Persistent pain
  • Overload injuries
  • Body misalignment affecting your knees, hips or back.

So our recommendation is, if you want to be able to enjoy your favorite activities now and in the future, start using orthopedic Insole.
